Youth Confirmation Camp
April 30-May 2, 2027
Confirmation Camp 2027 at Mingus Camp offers a weekend designed to meet students where they are—while building community, deepening faith, and creating lasting memories. This camp is open to students in grades 7–12.
Two Confirmation Tracks This year’s camp features two tracks, allowing churches to choose the experience that best fits their students:
Track One: Comprehensive Confirmation
Designed for students who need a full confirmation experience, this track offers a structured, engaging journey that covers key elements of the Christian faith within the Wesleyan tradition.
Track Two: Church-Based Confirmation Extension
For students already enrolled in a confirmation class at their home church, this track allows groups to continue their existing curriculum while enjoying the camp setting. Planned activities include the ropes course, archery, and space for additional topics or sessions led by church confirmation leaders.
Shared Camp Experiences
Regardless of track, all students come together throughout the weekend to:
-Learn about Wesleyan Theology and the Sacraments
-Build relationships across churches
-Gather for campfire worship, storytelling, and s’mores
-Enjoy the beauty and community of Mingus Camp
Chaperones Required
Each registered student needs to be accompanied by a chaperone, who may be a youth group leader or a parent, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for everyone. Churches are requested to verify Safer Sanctuary training and background checks with chaperones.
